Welcome to the Assistive Technology Project
AT4Kids is the assistive technology progam at the Little Tennessee Valley Educational Cooperative. We proudly joined the Tennessee Technical Assistance Network (TN-TAN) in 2023 to develop and launch the Assistive Technology Project (ATP) , an initiative designed to provide direct support to school systems and families. A highly skilled team of assistive technology (AT) specialists is available to provide training, consultation and coaching services, technical support, as well as individualized guidance to school districts, educators, and related service personnel. Our mission is to help school districts build capacity for addressing the assistive technology needs of students ages 3 - 22 with disabilities and promote positive educational outcomes. As part of this programming, we have launched a new statewide assistive technology lending library which will enable special education teams to try devices as needed.
Many of the resources we are creating will be hosted here on the AT4Kids website.

Who We Are
AT4Kids is the AT Center at LTVEC, which provides resources and guidance for all aspects of Assistive Technology (AT) and Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) assessment, implementation, and training in the educational setting.
The Assistive Technology Center is funded in part by the Tennessee Department of Education and contracts for services with East Tennessee school systems. Our certified staff provides specialized evaluation of students who may benefit from assistive technology for curriculum access, support for identification of appropriate AAC tools, assistance in the acquisition of technology, as well as training and mentoring of students, families, and educators for use.
